The beginning…

I have a list of things I’d like to do around the house during my “sabbatical” and one of them is to edit/compile/weed through all the recipes I’ve cut out of magazines and newspapers over the years. Also, there are some of these family favorites that my kids might want to have some day, as they learn to cook for themselves. Who doesn’t want Mom’s/Dad’s/Grandma’s recipe for that dish or treat that through repetition and context has come to mean home?

Last night I got the brainstorm to digitize and share via the Interwebs and here I am this morning. I get rid of these dog-eared file folders floating around the kitchen and give the kids access to the recipes in one fell swoop.

Right now this blog is private because it occurred to me that posting recipes to my blog from a copyrighted source might not be considered fair use. (why should it be, really?) So til I figure that out, it’s just us folks and I can get to work.
